Housework

The weather so miserable and I have been on this site for quite a while - I gotta get some housework done and my God can't face it - hoovering - washing - putting away clothes - iron for tomorrow YUK will wait another wee while - a thing I have been saying all day hahhaha

I don't iron, I just need to tidy up and clean, we've got visitors staying next weekend

I get like that as well Connemmara. After a busy week at work I have no energy to then do housework.

I've done loads of housework today. I just keep nipping in and out. I did ten minutes here, then minutes there. It soon mounts up. My house is ..............well, not spotless but...............not too bad. Try it tomorrow. If you do it in bits you don't get fed up.

no the blister comes tomorrow for dinner and have to have house spick and span - she is forever moving my stuff all in hideyholes - last week couldnt find my hairdryer and tongs - looked everywhere - she had stuffed them down a designer bag - had to use neighbour's hairdryer cos had a hospital appointment - she has ocd

I'm a bit OCD when it comes to housework. I get annoyed if something isn't in the right place, or magazines and papers are left on the coffee table.
Housework takes me about an hour/hour and 30 minutes each day, which isn't a lot, as there's not really much to do.
The one thing I CANNOT stand though, is ironing. Urgh.

I tend to iron most things, and Sunday nights are usually when I do it, but by god do I hate it!

Madmen rather than going back through all the postings are you the one concerned about the oil on Other Half's trousers - if you are like victor meldrew says "I don't believe it)

Madmen coming to ironing - get yourself a generator (iron one) you will never complain about ironing ever again. They are fantastic particularly for denims and duvets covers. If you need a make I can recommend one to you - they are dear of course.

then of course once again get rid and enjoy your status of being single - it can be lonely as I am single but I do what I want to do - go out any time I want - hoover - it is lovely being independent. I have about 7 friends all divorced - and one of them says a joke to me do you think I want to meet an oul fella to say "do you want your dinner now" no way - I think most women do humour men in general.

When I was working I used to pay someone to do my ironing - it was bliss!
I'd send out a bag of clean wrinkled laundry and back the next day was a bag of beautifully ironed laundry. Worth every penny!

cant get the url - but look up currys or argos and ask for Steam Generator Iron - come back to me for more advice if you think you can afford one - cos you need the right generator to have loads and loads of holes in the plate. First one I bought had about 5 holes - let me get a minute and look at the holes in mine

32 holes - you need them for the great steam and also another button for more steam. I have been using Rowenta - but if I look down my history button could get the site to look which would be a bit cheaper than currys or argos. Good luck

Bloody hell Conne! Just did a Google search and the first one I clicked on was £250! Er... that's like 6 months worth of botox!!! :)))

I'd still have o bloody stand there for hours on end though! :)

I have a Rowenta steam generator. Got it off eBay (new) at a good price. Can't remember how much, but quite a lot cheaper than in the shops.
