The central heating boiler sits on paving slabs surrounded by gravel. I just noticed today that a section of the gravel seems to have been scooped out and there's a gap under one of the paving stones. Rats?

Outdoors. The neighbours cats sleep on top of the boiler house. I know it's not them doing the digging but if there are rats you'd think the cats would earn their warm bed.
