Behaviour change in rats
2 Answers
Hey guys. Need a bit of help. I have two pet rats, who have been together before the day i bought them. Because of this, they have always cuddled up together at night and shared everything. However, recently one of my rats has had a change in behaviour.
She has made her own little nest at the highest point of the cage and has decided not too leave it unless she is getting food; in which case she grabs it and goes straight back to her nest. Not only this but she wont let the other rat anywhere near the nest, resulting in the other one sleeping in the most random places.
Both rats are female and therefore a pregnancy cant be possible. But i wondered if it coulf be a phantom pregnancy??

If she does give birth and you want to give them away/sell them, be VERY careful who takes you up on the offer, if you sell them to persons unknown, quite possibly they'll end up as snake food :-O (The local pet shop took mine off my hands).
