Copper Wrist Bands

anyone got any ideas about" cleaning copper wrist bands" other than good old brasso, also the black marks they leave on your wrists.
I find I have to clean them with brasso every other day and scrub my wrists quiet hard to remove the marks ,many thanks in advance

Could you clean the wrist band then coat it with eg clear nail polish?

You could try cleaning them and then coat with a clear varnish.

I was considering that sort of answer maggie but would that then not interfere with any medicinal qualitiies?

Not sure vakayu, just thought it would stop the black marks on his wrists.

Yes maggiebee I thought that would be a good idea as well but as I said I don't hold much credence to it,but are'nt they supposed to help arthritis or something,and I just presumed thie coating would maybe prevent this,I will be interested actually now to find out.

It it works for you, it works, whether it's a placebo effect or not. I know people who swear by them and feel much worse if they are not wearing them.

Toothpaste for copper & skin tints, or denture tablets for all metal cleaning.....you can drop your teeth in too ;)

thanks to all for your replies, I agree with you "boxtops",I know there is no proven evidence etc,
anyway your thoughts on "magnetic bracelets" is interesting ?? any one on here use them advice appreciated

People keep telling me that my shiny copper bracelet, is useless and has only a placebo effect on my arthritis. Go soak your head is my reply. Copper marks on my wrist? Naw! I take mine off every night as I do my hearing aids and glasses. Every morning I clean my hearing aids with a damp cloth, my glasses I clean with a micro cloth. My beautiful copper bracelet I clean with a Silver Cloth. The copper shines as if it were gold. People comment on my thick gold bracelet and are amazed when I tell them smugly its only copper.
As for my arthritis I also use Deep Relief containing Ibuprofen & Levomenthol. Which can be bought from Boots. But to some people say I am throwing my money away. Go soak your head!!! I know what works for me and thousands of other like me.
