Someone posted something HILARIOUS on my FB page, regarding money saving tips. It was from a programme called 'Superscrimpers' and they recommended putting toilet rolls on the arms of a wooden rocking chair to avoid wear and tear. Lol.
I watched that programme once and there was a woman on there who made a 'necklace' out of a cereal box and covered it with glitter. When she had finished it looked.........................................like a necklace that had been made out of a cereal box and covered with glitter!
I've just had an email from my electricity supplier with money saving 'tips' - one of them was to cut food up into smaller pieces to speed up cooking, really a irritated me for some reason.
Sounds like excellent advice, Sherrard. Along with; Don't fill the kettle to the brim for one cup of tea. And turn lights off when you don't need them.
I don't know how we used to manage. ;)
It's not a money saving tip but it's a good one for getting revenge on a nasty neighbour......buy the same make of telly and annoy the hell outta him by standing outside his window and continually flicking through the channels with your remote control.
If he spots you doing this - immediately lift the remote control to your ear and pretend it's your new mobile phone.
Off topic, but a mate of mine was sat watching TV. An uneasy feeling made him turn around to see a face pressed against the window. Turned out to be an escapee from the local mental asylum. Lol, would have scared me to death.
Before you put the new toilet roll on the holder flatten it so the cardboard insert is oval. This stops the children pulling a load of sheets off at the one time as it will not spin.
