Lily Pollen

Whilst gardening today, I leant over a pot of lillies to get at some weeds and have managed to completely cover half of the front of a white T shirt in lily pollen!  (Yes, I know, how stupid was that?!)

Any suggestions as to how to deal with the stain?  Will it just come out in the wash or will I have to treat it in some way before washing?

Hi Ceebee  you could try spraying with one of the magic potions but I don't think you will shift it ,it is terrible stuff .A tip if you ever have Lilies in a bouquet if the florist has not already done it snip of the stamens to avoid staining.Good luck.
wrap sticky tape around your hand sticky outwards and dab pollen off before washing

Lily pollen is terrible stuff, I agree with the other two answers, there is nothing that will get rid of it.

BUT you could try Vanish soap before machine washing

whatever you do dont wet it as this will set the stain.

woofgang is right about using cellotape to remove it

If you have already got the pollen wet or rubbed it into the fabric and cannot remove it by shaking it off, using sellotape or vacuum cleaner, dab the stain with a little white spirit (used to clean paint brushes) applied to cotton wool. This will lift the stain off and then you can wash out the white spirit with normal washing detergent.- this honestly works, it saved my white carpet!
