Have returned from a weeks holiday to find dishwasher not working - it was perfectly ok when we left. I did leave some dirty pots in (a few mugs and a couple of cleanish plates) and am wondering if this is the problem?

It switches on ok and the programme times are showing on the display but it will not draw any water in at all. Any ideas anyone? It's is Bosch about 7 years old.

Oops, pressed submit too soon. Mine is a bit newer but may be of a similar design. The water on mine is gravity fed and can get blocked by food debris. Get a pipe cleaner or a similarly flexible piece of wire/plastic and on the left hand side, fairly central at the bottom you might find the water inlet, poke the pipe cleaner in and give it a waggle.

Have you tried starting it on a different programme?
Is it not showing an error message?

Yes, lilacben, water is on but it took us a while to switch off and on as we are not technically minded.

No error message ecclecakes, but will ask the husband to try the 'poking'.

Different programme doesn't make any difference diddlydo.

Thanks you three! X
My dishwasher keeps playing up...think she's going through "the change"
