Renting

My partner and I would like to rent a property together, he is out in Afghanistan currently until end of November but I would like to sort us somewhere to rent while he is away so that I can be set up for when he returns. Is this possible to do or does he need to be in the country in order for letting agencies to do the necessary checks to see if he is legible to rent a property?

If I were you I'd ask one of the letting agences what their criteria are. They may differ, but I guess a credit check will apply for all of them.
