This is a genuine query - Who would I go to to get a quotation for the transportation of an armchair from East Sussex to Cheshire. I presume they would have to see the chair first to gauge it's dimensions etc. Would they expect it to be wrapped in polythene or would they do it themselves?

Try one or two companies who advertise in the Removals and Storage section of Yellow Pages.

I guess you could try any of the logistics companies (including parcel force ?) or home removals such as pickfords. They probably all have different criteria.
