Why do some people do this? Or even store rubbish in their garden awaiting Council Collection when they often have one or two cars of their own. Obviously, if you have a three piece suite that won't fit your average car. Aside from that when you only have plastic bags, why wait for an uplift that you probably have to pay for when there's a Council recycle waste depot nearby?

For those who do this with apathy- I hope you get caught!

They're the same people who think it's OK to drop litter and/or throw it out of the car window.
it's a mystery to me ... if i have large item that wants recycling the council collect it free of charge
Different issues aren't they.

People who fly tip are mainly those dregs of society who just wish to get rid of their problem and see no reason not to dump on their fellow citizens.

Those who inform the council of stuff to take away and leave it in their garden are merely awaiting the service they pay for, and are being environmentally friendly enough not to add pollution and unnecessary resource use making an avoidable car trip in order to do what the council have already been paid to do.

Unfortunately OG, in Scotland- or at least in mortgaged property you have to pay for a Council uplift. Otherwise, I think if you dwell in Council housing, then it's free.

I purchase a council collection because our local tip is a driving madhouse and I like my car with both wing mirrors and no scratches.
