Not only was Kim Wilde drop-dead gorgeous in the '80's, she has co-written one of the most atmospheric etheriel songs I have ever heard - Cambodia.

Considering this is presented under the guise of a 'pop' song, it is really deep and mysterious, a class piece of work.

It is an exquisite song; however, Kim has no writing credit for "Cambodia" although she did change the lyrics from first person to third person, perhaps
a fundamental change to the 'atmosphere'.

Her first writing credits (both co- and solo) was not until 3 years (and 2 albums) later - "Fit In" (Kim), "Shangri-La" (Kim) & "Thought It Was Goodbye" (Kim, Ricky & Marty) from the 1984 album "Teases & Dares".

Both Kim and Marty have described how Marty (lyrics) and Ricky (music & production) formulated the song.
