Well - in my personal experience, an early-day miscarriage felt to me rather like you describe - I was 8 weeks when I miscarried. You were very early on so most of the symptoms wouldn't show at all, certainly not being able to feel the baby "flutter". Sadly, hundreds of miscarriages happen every day, and some women never know if they were pregnant - you need to put this one down to experience, and not brood over it,. there is nothing you can do now.
Did your mom not suggest that you should see the doctor after this happened?
Next time, if there is one - get a test, you can do it very early on these days. It might not stop you having a miscarriage again, but at least you'll know.
