The Mousetrap

Daughter has just started reading Agatha Christie and I thought I might take her to see the Mousetrap next half term, has anyone seen it, is it any good?

me and my OH went to see it at the corn exchange in Cambridge, so in a much smaller auditorium but really enjoyed it - first time ever & would do it again......go for it, where would you go to see it out of interest?

My mum has bought us tickets to go see it when it's on tour in the summer. Quite looking forward to it.

Went to see it at The St Martins Theatre in London a few years back. It was good. The theatre was half empty and we moved seats away from the English person who was translating the entire play into German for her companion. Some people have zero respect for other people. Anyway after we moved seat , it was a good play.

i saw it many years ago in the west end............I cant even remember ' who did it ' :)

It must have been about 50yrs ago that I saw it in London. Anyway I'll tell you, quite quickly, the end of the stage production.

A member of the cast steps forward and thanks the audience for it's applause and requests you keep secret the 'Who Dunit'.

I hope I haven't spoiled it for you because it is worth seeing.

@anneasquith....I can keep secrets, so I'm Not even telling you 'Who Dunit'. :-)

I love Agatha Christie books, have read most of them several times, including The Mousetrap and I can't remember who dunnit either!

Rocky, I hope you and daughter enjoy it.

Also, I hope your daughter enjoys AC's books, although I couldn't quite get into the Tuppence stories and even less so when they were televised.

Mr M and I saw it 47 years ago when we were 'courting' I can remember who done it but not why, would like to go and see it again.

rocky....I am unaware that the end of the play is ever altered. It isn't one you could really alter. It's interesting going to the theatre bar in the interval and listening to peoples explanations for whom they think has Dunit.

And it's nice that no one EVER tells anyone else how it ends.
