General rule of thumb is October, Nov, early Dec for trees big shrubs and spring bulbs. Late April-May for small shrubs, bedding plants. Hardy perrennials and summer flowering bulbs can start being planted from end of this month in milder areas. You can start sowing many veg seeds from end of this month.
