Small first floor bathroom, has a bath, loo and wash hand basin.
Want to convert it to a shower, loo and wash hand basin.
I appreciate that it is difficult to answer this question but, roughly what would it cost it cost to convert??

Main cost drivers are the specification of the shower and sanitaryware, amount of change required to extract the water away (soil pipework), and the spec. of the wall and floorcoverings. To get an idea of tile costings, work out the price of the chosen tiling and double it for fitting costs.

I don't know if this will be of any help Jenny. We had a very a small space converted into a shower room with sink and toilet. It involved bricking up a window; building a wall; knocking down another wall to put in a door; connecting to sewer; lighting; extractor fan; flooring and normal bathroom fittings & furniture and it cost just under £4K. Obviously as it has been said the cost will depend on the quality of the fittings but we are very happy with the finished result.

JK if you want to take the bath out and have a shower then do it. Life is too short to make your house decisions based on what will sell unless you are on the brink of moving. If you are really concerned then choose a shower that will fit in the footprint of your bath. That way if you need to, you can put in a chap bath before putting the house on the market.
For a 2Msq bathroom including ...1600mm resin stone tray.....polished aluminium sliding door......dual flush toilet.....pedestal or semi pedestal basin...decent mono tap....mixer shower...£400 worth of tiles ...around £3500k plus vat ......plus any plastering..floorboarding...lighting...extraction...decoration..skip etc.
