Vaillant Hot Water Heater

Ours is an 18 year old and started to leak . We called the Vaillant technician and he said that he would take it and fix the leak and give it a revision. And then it should keep going for a good few more years. Should we invest in a new one? or does anyone know if they are simple machine anyway.

I guess this is an instantaneous electric water heater rather than a boiler?

If the Tech. says he can, then it's just a matter of the cost. There's really not a lot to them, technically. They have a fairly easy unstressed life. Get the quote and compare it to the price of a new one.

How much are they new?

He has quoted about 100 € to fix, and decal the pipes and check it out. We have seen the same size new one about 450 plus installation, probably about 75€

When I look at my reply, it seems pretty obvious to have it fixed, don't you think Builder ?
