Winter Flowering Heathers
Some of my older winter flowering heathers have not this year been up to their previous years abundance of flowers. They have become rather bushy and I would appreciate some advice on how best to revive them. Would they survive a severe pruning and would they improve with a feed. If a feed is needed, what should it be. All advice will be welcome, thanks.

A good layer of ericaceous compost, pine needles/bark chip may also help by maintaining acidity.
