I'm not sure if this should be in Gardening or in TV
A couple of weeks ago on River Cottage ( I think )
there was this oldish guy talking about using plants to do the hard
work in the garden. He planted this 'weed' like plant that broke up
heavy clay soil. Did anyone see it or know what plant he was talking
about.
I collect comfrey & nettles, put them in an old chicken manure pellet drum, add water, then leave it for about 3 weeks. I then strain the liquid in a riddle into a wheelie bin, then fill up the bin with water. All my allotment plants get fed with the solution. BTW, it stinks to high heaven:-/
