Does Anyone Know Anything About Ovens Please?

I have a Zanussi oven which is an electric fan oven with a gas hob and an extractor fan above it.

A few weeks ago the fan went and was making laboured sounds but was not spinning although the oven and grill inside were still working.

After reading on the net I wondered whether maybe the fan was stuck so turned off the power and spun it with a plastic for whilst standing on a rubber bottomed mat. I then turned the power back on and the fan noise, the oven and grill are completely dead.

The fan is situated at the back of the oven which is currently being held by 2 top star screws with the bottom ones gone.

This is an enclosed unit into the kitchen worktop.

I just don't know what to do and haven't much money and using the microwave and hobs is now becoming boring, expensive and timely as well as unhealthy.

A little reading and experienced has told me it's possibly the fan motor and now maybe possibly a fuse?

I know nothing about electrics and don't want to mess around with it in case of shock or a fire down the line.

Could a complete novice fix something like this?

Does anyone know what the likely problem is?

Please any help would be a godsend.

On a side note,I know the hob is zanussi also but is the metal protector and fan hood/light system also zanussi or generic?

Does the oven have an electronic clock?
Mine is a different brand, but I found that after the power had been switched off, I had to reset the clock before the oven would work again.
This doesn't help with the fan issue, but at least it would mean that you could use the grill.
I have a Zanussi and it works the same as iminoz's oven, clock has to be reset for oven to work.

Hey,thanks guys.

Yes my clock is a red led clock with a long arrow with a dash at the base and tip in the top left corner,a small arrow with a dash at the tip in the left bottom corner, an hourglass in the top right corner and a clock in the bottom left hand corner with three buttons under the clock, the left with a minus sign, the middle with a circle and arrow in it and a plus sign on the right button and above the plus sign is a red flashing led dash.

Same as yours if so how do I set it?

I've been trying to fiddle around with the clock as I don't have the manual all to loud beeps which I had to suspend in case I was bothering any neighbors but I'll have another try tomorrow. Thanks again.
This may help if it is similar to yours:

Once you have re-set your clock I'm sure your fan will be the problem. It's an easy enough job to replace the fan. Usually two screws and two/three wires, the biggest problem is removing the oven to get to it.
