A flippin' Wood Pigeon is sitting in my false acacia tree seemingly nibbling at the new leaves. What is it eating?

Oven ready they come in at about 1/2 a pound, so about 4 ounces..the meat is very lean, darker than a partridge and gamier....a good butcher will bone and stuff them for you, so again about 1/2 a pound per person or 1 stuffed bird. Extra flavour can be added with the choice of two stuffings in the cavities - say, a gluten free apricot and walnut stuffing or a pork free apricot, apple and ginger stuffing.

Yum.
My cherry tree too mazie. Watched one pecking away and when I went to have a look I saw lots of stalks lying on the ground underneath the tree minus the newly formed cherry. Last year the blackbirds ate them but at least they waited until they were ripe - the day before I was going to pick them.
Wrap in silver foil and roast for 20 minutes in the top oven of the Aga, remove foil and roast for a further 10. Rest for at least 10 minutes, under a fresh t-towel and a little more foil between the meat and towel.
It's a wood pigeon, it should eat wood !
Is your false tree plastic or something ?
You're not alone, they've been munching on my currants and damsons.
I've half a mind to take the bird bath away!
