If You Were A Burglar....

What would put you off the most?
A) a light in the conservatory, which lights up the whole, small, garden?
B) a standard lamp in the conservatory which is timed to come on and off?
C) a standard lamp in the dining room, (with timer), next to the conservatory, with the curtains open a little?
Have had someone in my garden twice recently.

Burglar alarm. Or failing that a dummy box outside.

Neither A, B or C would deter a burglar. The fact that you have nothing worth stealing is what keeps them away.

I barricade the back door at night, clothes airer (sits under the handle) and bucket/brush/mob etc... so it would make a hell of a racket for anyone trying to get in through the back door. Front wise they would have to break two locked doors down. I have a bright security light and there are cameras around.

I also do like Gness with the body under a blanket thing on the sofa. No wig used yet though :) I like the plate and glass idea!

I keep things out of sight too. No clear view into the house and, even if there was, nothing of interest on show.

I also have extra bolts on the doors and window locks.

We have had issues around here, gangs and some regulars. Been some really nasty break ins, especially for car keys.

My curtains are also always closed. They are light enough to let enough light in that I don't need them open.
