The walls in my bedroom are plasterboarded, I need to put up a TV bracket but their are no joists behind the plasterboards where I want to put it. what can I do?

If there are no joists/battens, what is p-board fixed to? Normally battens are 16-20 ins apart vertically (look for nail line) If fixed direct to wall, you should be able to drill through and use screws & plugs or anchor bolts. Screwfix Direct sell a range of heavy-duty p-board fixings (see P 39 of catalogue No 79 or check out their website www.screwfix.com)
