we have a Hoover HNL6126 washing machine, it has two daily wash programmes which are the only ones we use, one is a 44 minute, the other is a 29 minute but both of them recently have been taking over two hours to complete the cycle, they used to be okay. Anyone have any ideas if this would be fixable? Have downloaded a PDF manual and looked at troubleshooting but it's no good. TIA
Thanks both. Unfortunately it doesn't show where it is on the cycle, only has little lights with an estimated time remaining. 3 lights 60, 30 and 15 mins.
Have you checked that the water intake is working o.k.? when you press start, can you hear the water gushing in? Have you checked the speed of discharge? a partially blocked pump could take forever to empty, and until the sensor tells the machine that the water is gone, it will not move on.
just a thought.
The water inlet hoses have little wire mesh filters on them that can become blocked with limescale preventing or slowing down the water intake. Until the machine detects that the correct level of water is there it will not 'start' the cycle.
