I don't know a lot about gardening but I know i'm supposed to feed my tomatoes when the first truss's appear. I've got liquid tomato feed that has to be diluted in the watering can but the plants don't need watering.
What should I do ?.

All plants need watering.

If you think they aren't needin a big drink at the moment, just give them a small drink of feed.
They'll need watering tomorrow, do it then.
You usually start your feeding programme with Toms when the first truss has finished flowering and has started to set fruit. The timing isn't critical so don't worry if you miss it for a few days. Next time you water, feed then but don't lose any sleep if it's not until the middle or end of next week.
when they start to fruit you will need to water and feed big time !! as long as they are not dry don't fret !
This product takes all the work out of fertilizing tomatoes...

Amazon.com User Recommendation

I've used them for years here in the US. I place two of them near the plant when they are first set out and, generally feed the plant all season. I especially like the measured amount of the nutrients.

Thanks Clanad . On your Amazon site in the USA the price is $3.87 (£2.67) with free shipping and hear the exact same product is £34.20 plus £4.48 postage. Which converts to nearly $56.00. Welcome to RIP OFF BRITAIN.
Remember last years mistakes ... whatever you do, dont overwater.

Good morning alavahalf.
No I won't make the mistakes I made last year. But I might still be posting really dumb questions on the Answer bank.

Just bought a pack of Jobes tomato food spikes direct from the U.S. Amazon site and saved over £30. Rip off Britain.
Morning zabado .. If you dont ask you wont learn and I'm sure you are brimming with knowledge, after last years steep learning curve. This season should be a bit easier if you put it all into practice. Saying that I have lost at least 30 tomato plants this year, it's just as well I do plenty spares. For some unknown reason, they just collapse. I am putting it down to a cold draught. Anyhow we are all up and running and about to put the last toms in tonight.
My outdoor crop was a total failure last year as they got blight. Let's hope for more luck this year.
My polytunnel crop did a bit better ...(taken last year, early sept) ... http://i64.tinypic.com/55kxz6.jpg[/IMG]
