It is a nuisance that you can't open your windows without them flying in and then they can't find their way out.

I knew electricity would be involved but what actually do you do. If you hold the bat over the fly - surely the fly gets time to get away. Hope you do know what I mean.

Swinging for it - most of flies I kill are always on the window pane so would be afraid of cracking window. Do have an ordinary fly zapper and already this morning in puter room have killed 6 flies. Sick to death of them

The thing with the racquet type swatters is bits of the zapped fly shoot off everywhere - not good in a kitchen area.

I used to sell all types, none of the electrifying types should be used directly over or adjacent to food or food preparation ares, as bits do fly off.

If you need to place them in areas, use the electric glue board type, the flies stick to them rather than get exploded by them.

I agree Ratter , in food prep areas the glue board type are the best.

Thanks. If it is only a foot or so I don't have a problem. 3½' and I might. I'm already aware the smell of roast fly isn't very nice.

OG, whilst the zapper may only fire the odd fly limb a foot or so, a little air movement could easily blow it 3 feet in my opinion.

In that case it sounds like it would be unfit for a kitchen location.
Rather annoying.
