Have recently moved to a house where there is a very nice ,large shower cubicle . Problem is, although only two years old the two curved glass panels have ingrained marking . I have tried most of the over the counter remedies , but nothing seems able to shift the marks . As replacing the glass will cost several hundred pounds , I wondered if anyone had encountered a similar problem and found a solution . Your help would be very much appreciated.

Lemons or white vinegar.
If you use the lemon method cut in half and sprinkle with salt. I think limes and grapefruits also work well.
Vinagar.

Tried both lemons and white vinegar , alas to no avail !
We live in a very hard water area and despite drying the glass every time we use it, the glass door has scale marks on it. I've tried everything to no avail
I've tried white vinegar and it had no effect but I haven't tried lemon. Presumably you just halve the lemon and rub it over?

Sprinkle salt on the cut half.
Thanks Danny I'll give that a whirl x
If it is glass (as opposed to plastic) you could try buffing the area, starting in some distinct quarter to see if it helps. For this you need a power buffer, the sort commonly used in the auto repair industry, with a special glass polishing paste. The paste is available at affordable prices on eBay in sufficient quantities for at least doing a test piece.

I did try it with a power buffer using T-cut . No luck with this , but will try with a glass polishing compound . Thanks Karl and everyone else .
Try jewellers rouge, cheap and worth a try, purchase off eBay.
It's probably limescale, so a good limescale remover will probably do the job.
Was just about to say that it would more than likely be limescale ... I would'nt touch it with a buffer and paste ... if it is glass, then it will be toughened and laminated. When glass gets toughened it gets soft and is easily scratched.
Spray on limescale remover, there is one by 'Cilit Bang' Grime and Lime I think it is called.Spray on leave 1/2 an hour rinse and repeat. May have to do it 2 or 3 times at first.
