G Tech Air Ram Vaccum

does anyone have one, as i am wondering why i lammed out so much for it.
do you have any problems if you have one.

mine deposits dust on the carpet even when i have emptied it in the bin

I know at least two Abers who swear by them, I've got a Dyson V6 which is great.

I've got one and I was very impressed at first. But I wish I'd got a Dyson Animal now. I had a GTECH handheld but sold it on ebay and bought a Dyson handheld.

can't really afford to buy new items, these aren't that old.
seems to happen when i hoover around the sofa it deposits dust and then won;t pick up.

Emmie, have you washed the filters recently? I have one of these and like it but do have to wash the filters out about once a month.

and i haven't washed the filters they seem to be screwed in, but the hoover deposited dust on its first outing, impossible i know.

If you'd have consulted Which? before your purchase, you probably would not have bought it....they described it as "distinctly average". Dyson V6 or V8 much, much better....we have the V6 (as well as two different Dyson mains vacs...all excellent.

i confess i have a loathing for Dyson. I know they are good, but some seem so clumsy. the air ram seemed good so i bought the handheld one too, and that takes too much effort to pull open the dust canister.

When I first joined AB I'd just got Max my avatar who was as you see ahairy GSD and the first question I asked was about vacuums and the one recommended was the Miele dog and cat. Still using it and never had any complaints.

Love my Gtech. The filters do come out. If you lift the cover off the bin you'll find a round screw. Unlock it and you can take the filters out.

I swear by my gtech. It seems each to their own. I wouldn't have a Dyson given to me. Expensive rubbish in my opinion (daughters have both had them and not been impressed!). One daughter paid over £400 for it not to pick up dust or cat hair and one charge lasted 15 mins max! She sent it back.

truth is it picks up once it gets going, but does deposit dust on the first go. which i think defeats the object.
