My garden is horribly overgrown with elder trees/bushes. I have cut a load of them down with a pair of heavy duty loppers (the roots are too established for me to be able to get them out with a fork).

Two questions. Is there anything I can paint or spray on the bit left in the ground to kill these things off? They are a blummin nuisance.

Shove it under the washing machine to stop it moving around. :-)

There arent any leaves left, Minty. I've cut them down to about a foot above ground. They were really getting on my nerves and I had a new lopper to play with.......
leave it to dry a bit and have a bonfire !!

Well that's my second question answered! I thought that I might use it on the log burner. Or get rid of it by putting it in the incinerator (am getting in touch with my inner pyromaniac), but I suppose that might upset the neighbours........
Take it to the recycling centre. Do you have a trailer?
thought for the day...try loppers on ex Mr BM ? lol...
removal from site would be the better option if you can do that !
Shove it under the washing machine to stop it moving around. :-)
