Smelly Dishwasher

We clean the filter regular and use the cleaning fluid and have an air freshner hanging in there, why the hell does it still smell not nice???? Also leave door open, doing everything right, anyone know a solution to this apart from not using the damn thing? TIA

Clean out filters and do an empty wash with a bicarbonate of soda and lemon mix

The smell could be coming from bits of food in the waste pipe, try a very hot wash in the empty machine.
