I am having a brain block or I am thick. I want to purchase tiles on b&q website and they come in a box of 8 tiles, my area is 4sq metre. How many boxes do I need?

Each tile is 300mmX 400mm that is .12 sq mtrs each. 8 per pack is .9 sq mtrs with spaces .96 sq mtrs. 5 packs and some over.

What shape is it. Do you mean a total area of 4 sq metres or do you mean 4m x 4m?
We need the actual dimensions.
33
Each tile has an area of 0.52 sq metres- call it 0.5, so you could just get by with 1 box of 8 tiles if you can cut them up and use little strips, but it would look very messy. Depending on the actual measurements ad whether ther eis a pattern you need to take account of I expect you will need 2 packs. But maybe get 3 and you can a;ways reurn one of unopened
5 Packs unless yo have a lot of fiddly cuts. Each pack will cover .96 sq mtrs.(including spaces)

please check the link, it has dimensions on it, some have said 5 packs? Is that right then, shall I order 5 packs?
Okay, the link address seems to say 1300mm x 400mm but the actual site says 300 x 400, so mine is well short

It's the dimesnion of the floor we need phleb

thank you Togo, I will order 5 packs. thanks so much. x
FF - they are wall tiles, so we need the extreme dimensions of the wall

fiction factory lol, its a wall, not a floor...haha and it says l300 -- L300 not 1300, bless ya. I think I'm sorted now and will order 5 boxes to be safe. thanks you for trying. x
The link in red seems to say 1300mm x 40mm but the first 1 seems to be an l, so ogo's 5 will be right- but it still depends on the pattern if any
As it appears to be a special offer I would order extra just to be on the safe side. B&Q are pretty good on returns of full boxes unless that is not practicable for you.
Haha ta phleb. Get tiling.
Double check the figures using B&Q own calculator (which includes 10% wastage estimate only).

Covering 4 sq metres using 300mm x 400mm tiles appears to require 40 = 5 boxes - and not much in the way of "spares."

Thank you all of you. I ordered 6 boxes as end of line and didnt want to take any risks. I'm doing my kitchen out and want it to look fab. No doubt, i'll be back with more questions ;)
