Has anyone got a solution on how to stop a rug travelling over carpet. I have tried double sided tape but find it leaves sticky marks on pastel carpet. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tack it down with a few carpet tacks!!unless its a really thin one(it might rip)(:)
You can buy something that you put down under the rug which supposed to stop it slipping. You can get it from a carpet shop. Can't remember what it is called.

A certain Swedish furniture store does a very thin, dark grey mat which is slightly rubberised.

It works wonders, even on laminate flooring, and is relatively inexpensive.

sew velcro strips on the underside - BUT ONLY THE HOOK bit, not the fuzzy side -this will grip the carpet.
