Insect Bite?
2 Answers
My friend just sent me several photos of what looks like insect bites on his legs, one of which has blisters around it. He says his leg feels hot and very itchy. He sat it some grass last night but has had one of the bites for several days. I've told him to take some Piriton and get some antihistamine cream, but is that the right advice?

However, I would not bother with Piriton by mouth and would substitute the antihistamine cream with 1% hydrocortisone cream.
If the hotness and redness spreads up his legs and he feels hot and unwell in himself then i would suggest he sees his GP or goes to A&E as he may well require antibiotics.
