Cooker Hood Filter.
2 Answers
I’m just moving to a house where the cooker hood has a metal filter. I’ve never had one like this before and have only ever used the paper-type filters. (The sort where the red stripes change colour to let you know it needs replacing).
Could I use a papery one instead of metal?
Thanks.

As I read it, it's unlikely that you could substitute a paper filter satisfactorily but you shouldn't need to anyway as you can simply put the existing filter into a dishwasher.

I don't think so.....most if not all cooker hoods are designed to use what they use. Mine has the metal ones and they are really easy to clean...you can either put them in the dishwasher or soak in hot soapy water. Mine are around 9 years old and still going strong. I'd have got through a load of paper ones in that time.
