Thanks to the ABers who told me to put my green tomatoes with a banana,I now have lovely red ones!

I really ought to try that, but will need to buy a banana.
The ones on the kitchen window sill are still green (apart from the ones that were trying to turn mottled brown, and they are now in the compost heap).

Goods Mags22 it's an easy ripening for tomatoes especially if you put them in a brown paper bag with an old or ripe banana

OG you can always just remove a skin it's the gas that will ripen them

I've just done that with my green tomatoes - and now I've got red bananas!
