Could be faulty.
Is it one that has 2 compressors , one for the freezer and one for the fridge or does it have one compressor that serves both as most do?
If the former then the fridge compressor has probably failed. If the latter it is more likely to be a faulty thermostat.
As you'll see from this (very old but gets younger) forum post there are a few possibilities.
I'd weigh up the cost of engineer visit versus new fridge if it was me.

I'm now off to take up the bargain offer of breakdown cover for four years on the American style FF we bought last January. :-)
Most fridge/freezers use only one compressor providing freezing to the freezer compartment. Cooling of the fridge section is achieved through a ducted air channel connecting the freezer and fridge compartments – with a small fan providing the air movement, together with a damper mechanism and vents into the fridge compartment.

If your fridge is of the above construction – mark sure that you have not blocked the fridge compartment air vents (normally located in the back of the fridge compartment).

Control of the temperature in the fridge compartment is achieved by a thermostat/controller, switching on/off the fan (as required) – any of which could be faulty.
Just over a year? Where did you buy it?
Most likely a faulty thermostat, simple to replace, shouldn't cost much.
