I bought a Xmas tree in a pot last year. I kept it in the pot n the garden through the summer and it's doing great. I want to bring it in again this year . Is it too early or should I wait till nearer xmas
To give the treee the best chance of surviving, wait for as long as you can and keep it inside for as short a time as possible in the coolest place you have. Keep it well watered.
I agree with Wolfgang.
M tree from last year will be put in the conservatory this year, as it stays very cool in there, I don't have much space in the living room anyway.
I agree with the other two answers. In my opinion, it is never too early to decorate for Christmas, but if there's a possibility your tree might suffer in the warmer room, keep it outside.
Unless the room is not too warm and you can water it regularly. Then I'd say decorate it!
Tilly 2. Creepy crawlies weren't the word. I decorated it and a few days later there was a sticky substance all on the table and then these black bugs. In the end it got too much and it went baçk out on the garden and I got artificial one from loft only to find rat droppings in the bag the tree was stored. Now waiting for vermin control to take a look.
If I were you, I would semi-decorate it, ( ie, without lights) and leave it outside until Xmas Eve, and then bring it in for 12 nights, with the lights on it.
