Council Tax On Empty Property While Inbetween Tenants

We have a house that we rent out which will have been empty for 3 months when the new tenant moves in. Last time it was empty we were not liable to pay council tax but I’m not sure if that has changed now? I keep trying to phone the council but haven’t been in a position to when the offices are open. Hoping someone can tell me please? Thank you.

Without knowing the relevant council we can't give you a definitive answer. That's because it's a discretionary matter for each council to make their own decision about.

Different councils have widely differing rules, some of which seem completely illogical! You definitely need to speak to them and/or look at their website.
