I would wait and see, kuulteach. If they start to flop when they are in flower you can always stake them then

I have loads of these in my garden, they spread quite a bit but I've never staked them.

I've scattered some of this seed several years ago, and it self-seeds very freely on cultivated ground, all I do is just let it romp away and just weed out the ones that come up where I don't want them.

When the seed pods are ripe, the whole thing just explodes when touched or brushed past.
