my garden is looking beautifully autumnal, green grass and turning autumn leaves with the hardy fuchsias in full flower. Lovely after the horrible summer
I keep thinking the Viet Cong might appear and snipe me from the grass tbh Ed :) x
The main undergrowth has gone, last tomatoes and cucumbers picked, still loads of peppers. Cabbages and kale growing strongly. And rocket thinned out. Looks quite bare now.
I've been away for a week and come home to weeds in the vegetable patch which are two foot high. I spy four small yellow courgettes fighting to be seen!
I had to buy cucumber and tomatoes this week still picking leaves and peppers
I got one potimarron squash this year but it looks lovely

Lovely colour, worth buying a few more to display it properly
Bright and cheerful!
Are they good to eat ?
potimarron are a choice variety of squash, one of the best keepers and the most tasty. I do love pumpkin soup.
Me too, no room for them on my balcony but they are in the shops now so I will be getting some in and batch cooking for the freezer.

I am planning a black garden, already sourced black gravel and a list of plants, not sure about lighting though. Purple would deepen the black or maybe green would look more alien. Not for me, request from a goth friend
In the words of the old song - "I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain"
Soul, I would mix violet as a highlight among the plants and green on the paths or seating. Very other worldly
