Quality Over Quantity?

I will admit i'm a user of kitchen roll for many situations. One is when the wishing up bowl over flows when i put a large item in it and to save the cupboard and floor from soapy water.. Another could be a spilt drink or some muck on the vinyl floor.. Point is i think it's handy! but i use a lot..

Is quality more important over quantity when it comes to kitchen roll? I can spend £2 on eight rolls but i go through them in about 2 week or i could spend £2 on 2 - 3 rolls of "super absorbent large sheet" ?

Whichever does the job you use them for.If the cheaper one does the job then why waste money.

I feel like the better quality one may go further.. but you get an extra 6 rolls in the 8 pack.. Surely it can't go 6 times further? I do think the 2 pack for £2 rolls are much bigger squares of kitchen roll
Quality. But don't you just use a cloth that can be machine washed?
Kitchen roll is very useful and of course can be composted, however for the occasional spillage of water etc invest in a pack of cheap absorbent kitchen cloths that can be washed and reused.
Snap.
And your point is? Why do you use it at all? Sponge for spills on worktops and mop for floor.
Simples, do the experiment for a cost of 2 quid.
I use kitchen rolls. Mainly for food though.
i buy the cheapest i can get, and generally it lasts for ages.

No, i use kitchen roll to wipe up spills etc.. How can they be wiped up cleanly if the cloth is dirty? I do however use a reusable washing up cloth which i put in the washing machine.

I may start to use a kitchen roll reusable cloth instead but if i did that i may as well use the tea towel and i hate using the tea towel to clean things, it's for drying hands and stuff

It's gonna have to be done ay

Emmie me also but it don't last that long for me :( I use it for everything from wiping down the side with some detol to mopping up spilt tea
I find kitchen roll comes in very handy if I happen to run out of bog roll.
Buy lots of cloths. I have a basket full. If you spill something wet a clean cloth and wipe it up! Not rocket science.

OOOOft you shouldn't flush kitchen roll unless you proper cut it up into little pieces

Mamy, i do compost most things from thin cardboard to kitchen roll.
Just so long as you don't flush it down the loo Jackdaw - that's a definite no no.
I buy loads of cheapo microfibre cloths from amazon....different colours for different jobs...either rinse in hot water and wring out after use or throw in washing machine. Massive saving of money.
I use these. You can squeeze them out and re-mop up spills ,one sheet usually will do it. I will happily wipe up a floor spill with a regular cheap microfibre cloth but balk a bit at reusing cloths to wipe down worksurfaces as they harbour germs. Its
greener' to use these cloths than have a basket full of rags/dishcloths and have to wash them.

Same as woofgang - microfibre clothes and a washing machine!
'Greener'? Hardly like they take up much room in the washing machine that'll be going on anyway!

Where do you keep this used cloth until the next usage?

Best thing about kitchen roll is you can bin it and not worry about it being sat about
