We have very hard water and even though our bathroom suite is only a couple of years old we have really bad limescale at the very back of the toilet, from the rim right down to the actual water in the bowl -one vertical very bad line of limescale. Everyone keeps telling me to use Coca Cola, but it’s not in the bowl. I need to put something on it that will cling to it and remove it. Any ideas??

Use an actual pumice. The real kind, not an artificial one, and boy does it come off. Like magic. In seconds. Just scrub hard and it’s done.
how would you know if you have hard water
smow, Lidl limescale remover is excellent, cheap and very effective.
JJ the limescale is a very good way of knowing. I'm in a soft water area, so rarely see any, but the odd bit shows up occasionally.
i have the same problem and dont now what to use, i have tried things like harpic, but don't help..
emmie, my post at 0458.
yes i know, but we don;t have a lidl anywhere nearby.
That isn't much use to you then. :o{
thanks all the same. I have tried different products over the years all to no avail. I need to get something other than bleach which doesn't seem to work on limescale.
Some people are obviously confused because there are (at least) FOUR different varieties of Harpic liquid...you need to choose the right one- not the "bleach" variety, but the "limescale remover" variety!
