Remedy For Hard Mattress?

Hi Everyone. I recently bought a new bed. I like a medium firm mattress, and tried out a number of mattresses in the shop. The one I bought seemed ok at the time, but after sleeping on it for a few nights I realise it is too hard for me. Can't afford to buy another and shop won't take it back now it has been used.

Can anyone recommend an effective mattress topper to reduce the discomfort? Would feathers or memory foam be a better choice? Any other suggestions?

Many thanks

I would go with memory foam.
I think some kind of foam. Feathers aren't resilient and won't soften a mattress.

I've had similar and found them very good.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will go with the memory foam.
Definately go for memory foam and at least 5cm thick. I wouldn’t bother with the expensive ‘cooling’ gel type, I have one but not convinced it does anything.
