I have it about 5 years now and it is getting very "marky" at the side of it. I called it silver but think it is graphite? Can I paint over graphite as I don't want to be buying another fridge for another while. thanks

am going to cover the fridge myself and have bought silver adhesive paper = however I don't have the "blue" thing the lady uses - anybody give me any ideas before I have to back to B&Q - thanks
The 'blue thing' is a wallpaper smoother:

With 'self-adhesive paper' (Fablon?) though, you might find that something like this is better:

You might like to try a wooden, 12-inch, ruler. (Or a longer one, if you like.)
JJ, take care, if you do do that. It might look worse afterwards. Have a go at covering something smaller before you tackle the fridge freezer.

thanks guys - would never have known the proper word.

when I used to paper for mum - I always used like a long brush with tiny bristles.
Er, what happened to that green fridge you had us all hunting for not so long ago?

LOL @ Jennyjoan!

You had me worried though, as I thought that I might have imagined it - but it seems not ;-)
