Any builders or roofers on here. Can anybody please suggest what the approximate cost might be for Reroofing a 30' gable roof. Ie. scaffolding, remove tiles and felt. Replace felt and reroof using mainly the existing pantiles. Timbers are still good. House is about 200 years old. Quite a low pitch. Last reroofed 1980.

A starting point would be £3500.

Thank you for your answer. I was hoping it would come in at under £5000, allowing for probably having to buy reclaimed pantiles and ridge tiles. We renovated ourselves back in the 70s, but had the roof done by professionals. Prices might just have risen somewhat! We will start getting some quotes after Christmas and hopefully get it arranged for the spring.
Adding to Bob's post, Apc, I would allow perhaps a little nearer to the 5,000.

VAT is 20%, and the scaffolding could be around 1000
