Apart from clematis (which is the only one I can think of), what sort of climbing plants grow quickly, are not too heavy (going to grow against a not too sturdy fence) and have a dark red/purple colour?
Thanks for sharing - they can be really vicious. I had to separate a big and little hedgehog having a fight outside my back door last year (I dithered for a bit because it’s nature).
It’s a tricky one, but the bigger one was pinning the little one down and his little legs were sticking out from his body (like something from a cartoon).
I've had them bash into the camear - just a few days ago - his little face was right up close to the camera - looked cute then I realised he was being shoved!
I’ve seen one who came to eat, I was outside at the time and I heard one squish under the fence last night. Hopefully we’ll get as many as we did last year :)
For around a couple of quid for a packet of morning glory seeds, you can't go wrong really. I had them growing up an 8ft trellis, obelisk last year, which provided a daily interest.
They are treated as annuals in the UK and you can save some seed for the following year.
