There used to be a terrific little cafe just off Trafalgar Square. All-day pigeon breakfasts were great, as was the pigeon soup, pigeon pie, and pigeon-flavour ice-cream for lunch. Dinners were excellent roast pigeon served with pigeon peas. For the children there was always pigeon-toes (similar to fish-fingers). If you were willing to wait, you were given a dish of peanuts to entice your chosen bird which was then cooked to perfection - what could be fresher! Sadly, I have heard that this establishment no longer exists - something to do with Ken Livingstone.
