There are so many different prices etc. How do you choose which one to buy?

Pick any. The local ring doorbell nicker will be appreciative with any of them.
I just got one and installed it two days ago. Really pleased so far. I went with the indoor cam but there's a wall mounted one and a doorbell one too. The app is really easy to use and I imagine super easy to manage multiple cameras if you were to have more than one.
I've got one of these, simple to fit I just check it every so often to make sure batteries are ok

If you’re flush, buy an expensive one.

We bought a couple of cheap ones.

One rang when the geezer up the road turned his car alarm on.

The other was paired to the bell on the flat opposite. One rang, they both rang.

This one is dear, but has behaved itself for a couple of years:

Some people seem to be ignoring the word 'Ring' in the title of this thread which (as it's a brand name) I assume means that Thisoldbird is looking for a 'smart' (video) doorbell.

If you scroll down to 'Having trouble deciding?' here, you can click through the options to find the best model for your needs, Thisoldbird:

Screwfix have a lot of the range from the cheap to the more expensive - sadly not many reviews.
