Yes, my stupid cellar has flooded again, only this time my Dad brought round a vax to hoover up the water. My concern is that the bucket part of it fills up REALLY quickly, and there seems to be no warning on the machine when it is full up.


I am nervous, obviously about it overflowing and interfering with the electrics.


Any ideas?

This isn't the best way to deal with it and I share your concern. You need a small sump in the floor to place a submersible pump. The pump can be plumbed in to discharge the water outsided and work automaticly with a float switch. They are not expensive.
