Had the heating on yesterday but got too hot so turned it off.
Later on I realised I was still too hot and when I looked at the remote thermostat, it was on again.
I always turn the heating off when I go out which I did today, and when I came home, it was like a hot house.
Although it said off on it, the temperature was 24 degrees, so I've turned it off at the boiler.
At first I thought it must be on a timer, but I've never had it on a timer as I don't know how to do that.
Any ideas?
By the thermostat which is usually on the wall, but the one I have is a remote so I can put it on my bedside table at night, then I don't have to get up to turn it on.
I decided to turn it off at the boiler before I went to bed and I noticed the pressure was right down, so I adjusted it and touch wood, it's been ok since.
Thanks Atheist, I have a monthly contract , so I can always call them out, but it's quite an old boiler, had it about 15 yrs , and so have been thinking of changing it, but it's so expensive to replace.
