Breville Two-Slice Deep Fill Sandwich Toaster

Does anyone have one ? I've just bought one & want to know if its OK just to make one sandwich instead of 2, nowhere does it say so that I can find

I used to have a Breville sandwich maker - and yes, it was okay to make just one sandwich.

I must be using my Breville toaster wrong - as I only used it twice but it didn't toast too well. That was two years ago and it is back in the shelf along with the airfryer.

You know what is lovely - corned beef and a dab of HP Sauce. The sauce gives a little spicy touch.

Yes I still have my double one and still make then on occasion, yes perfectly fine just to make one.

jenny, corned beef and brown sauce is one of my favourites but I can't eat it hot in a toastie, it takes on a smell of dog food lol!

As I said on other thread, have given up with Brevilles, as they are quite particular and restrictive. And, like lava :-)

Update: Thankfully I bought it through Amazon, and I am returning it tomorrow. I didn't like what it produced at all. I only tied the 'classic' cheese & onion - with good cheddar & decent wholemeal bread, but it was like eating soft glop between two pieces of expanded polystyrene ceiling tiles.

Are you sure it's not the bread? Your description sounds like so called medium sliced white bread. Which is useless for anything except feeding the birds and squirrels. ;)

I usually toast the bread before putting it in. Butter the outside as well.

I don't imagine Amazon will want it back, unless it is faulty.

I can’t remember what sort of bread I used but it was definitely butter on the outside and the result was always fairly crispy.
